Services

Clean Out

After a Consultation, Grandpa will schedule an appointment and show up ready to work! Grandpa will devote most of his time sorting the tools, and setting them in order, the first two S’s in 5S. Grandpa will assess the tools and make an offer. All other tools and equipment will be recycled or donated or left behind, unless otherwise specified. Grandpa does not remove junk from your home, this is not for junk removal. It is Clean out, not Junk out. For Home Clean outs, we charge $75/hour. Extra charges may occur for supplies, like bins/totes and racks/shelving.

Organization

Organization is an ongoing process. Grandpa has been working with the principals of Kaizen called 5S ( Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain). During the Clean Out, Grandpa will address the first two S’s but choosing this option would benefit you with Custom Labeling, Organization, and Work flow Optimization. Here’s a Complete breakdown of what to expect from all 5S’s.

Sort phase, Grandpa will sort the tools into Keep, donate, recycle. Further sorting might be done to better classify tools.

Set in order means giving tools a space to live. Grandpa will designate a space for the remaining tools to improve efficiency.

Shine the space, Grandpa will sweep and source some supplies that would work for your space. Clean floors and benches are beautiful and safe.

Standardize really doesn’t apply to home owners but if you had multiple work stations, they should all have the same basic tools.

Sustain, Grandpa will leave you with some basic principles of how to sustain good practices in the garage.
